At Stride Running, the commitment to our runners is at the heart of everything we do. We guide runners in pursuit of their dreams by providing professional-level coaching catered to runners of all abilities. Helping runners become the best version of themselves is not only our mission, it is our passion.

We personally believe the secret to that perfect balance is to keep it simple and let the training come to you. Long distance running requires consistency and staying within your abilities over “home run workouts”. This is much more effective to make successful adaptations to training. Doing this patiently over long periods of time will lead to outstanding results.

Our method consists of building balanced training plans curated for not only personal goals and needs, but also individual schedules and lifestyles. We use an athlete-centric approach to coaching, taking the time to understand your individual needs and goals to create a tailored training plan that works for you.

The three coaches at Stride Running each boast 20 years of running experience ranging from sprints to middle and long-distance running. Each coach specializes in a specific component of running to provide the best coaching experience possible.

I never considered myself an athlete growing up, but I started to fall in love with running in my mid-twenties. After running 3 LA marathons and only getting PRs a minute or two each race (my best time being 4:19:50 in 2019) I decided to properly train a full cycle using Coach Omar's plans passed down from a friend. I finally ran my first sub-4 hour marathon with a 3:56:03 time, trimming 23 minutes. I shocked myself with the results and decided to properly train 1-on-1 with Omar. I shared with him my goal to Boston Qualify which, for my age, would be a 3:30:00 time; trimming 26 minutes.

As daunting of a goal that initially felt, Omar believed in me and my drive. He properly gave me a suitable plan towards training for the Eugene Marathon in 2022. I felt pushed, but stronger each week despite running more miles than I ever had in my life. Coach Omar helped me gain confidence in seeing myself as an athlete and I proudly ran a 3:30:01 in Eugene, 2022. Despite being 1 second shy of an official Boston Qualifying time, I would not have been able to achieve my 26 minute PR without Coach Omar!




I started training with Omar after a few months of no running, and he helped me get back into shape, stay consistent, and even BQ at the Boston Marathon itself!

I think there are several special attributes that make Omar an incredible coach. He has an unparalleled ability to personalize training to one’s fitness and goals. He makes training feel smooth and achievable. Additionally, his calm and positive aura is such a confidence booster! He always eases my nerves before racing and when life stresses get in the way of running. And of course, his first-hand experience at various distances on and off the track assures me that I’m in the right hands!

Omar’s coaching and keen knowledge of all things running are unmatched. I can’t recommend him highly enough!



Being coached by Coach Omar has not only taken my running to another level, but it has changed my life! The coaching he provides has opened the door to so much learning and success because he puts his complete heart into what he’s doing.

Coach Omar is deeply committed towards developing a strong relationship with his athletes. He will give you everything he has and more. He is very knowledgeable about the sport of running in any distance and knows exactly what it takes to get the most out of you.

I started training with Omar while I was recovering from a hip injury.  He had the knowledge as to how to work around this, and I was able to maintain my fitness through tailored workouts until I fully recovered. 


The subsequent 3 month training program helped push me to new lifetime PR's in the 5k, 10k, 10 mile, and half marathon distances. 


Aside from the physical element, he knows the psychological element as well.  In times of doubt, he was able to steady the nerves and was a constant source of support throughout. 


I highly recommend Omar for helping one achieve their running goals.


As a former D1 track athlete, I struggled to get back into running after a serious Achilles injury. I had a difficult time because I had no real training plan and often tried to do too much too soon. This made it hard to stick to a regular running schedule or to push myself in training. Omar got me back on track as I started setting goals, running regularly, and challenging myself. Most importantly, he protected me from injury with a solid training plan.


This made me finally feel motivated to train and get back into racing! My favorite part about Omar’s approach is that he started where my fitness level actually was, not where I wanted it to be, and the fitness plan was individually tailored to my needs and strengths.

He is incredibly knowledgeable about running and training, and he is infectiously positive and encouraging, making him a phenomenal coach."
